How Can I Learn A Language
Learning a second (or third...or fourth) language is always an excellent idea and can be useful in a number of ways.
At Work
Being able to speak another language fluently can greatly enhance your job prospects. With the global nature of business today, employers are always on the lookout for staff who can do their job well AND who can communicate effectively with customers in their own language.
At Home
An increasing number of families are from mixed cultural backgrounds so for many people it is almost a necessity to speak several languages in order to chat to children, parents or other family members.
It is also an important link to your cultural roots and many people I know say that they regret they did not learn how to speak in their mother tongue to their parents back when they were children. It also makes visiting 'home' much easier!
